Something In Between

Born as Consuelo Gilmore Costin in California, USA, Consuelo Costin is multitalented and a good role model for most of the teen girls in the world today. She is currently the vice president of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and performs with the Costin band which has been signed by the Sanctuary Records to produce an album in Britain and to crown it off, she is an eighth-generation descendant of the American entrepreneur Cornelius Vanderbilt.

Consuelo is both a music performer and a writer currently working with her own band known as Costin. She has her home in Los Angeles and continues to write songs for both her own recording and for film and television production. At the moment, she is working with Aaron Pearce (best known as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry’s producer). She continues to make her breath taking performances in clubs as well as special events. She sang ‘God Bless America’ in Dodger Stadium during the seventh inning stretch.

The main reason as to why she is a role model to many is because of her hard work when it comes to entrepreneurship. She is dedicated and employs as much creativity and risk taking skills as well as collaborative instincts as she does as an artist. She currently opened with her partner a 3D website to design and develop consumer products. Partnering with Umi McGuckin, she has put together her creativity to form the Soho Muse; a global social and business networking website which is geared for the global artistic community.

Other than her entrepreneurship skills and dedication in the world of entertainment, Consuelo is currently writing a book. It is a satiric memoir based on her life as being a young heiress. ‘Venderbroke’ has shown interest and aided in her writing using their literary agents and Consuelo is optimistic to having the book completed by the Spring of 2010.

In the year 2002, Consuelo Costin starred in the movie ‘Something in Between’. The film was released in the United States on 14 July 2002 (Dances with films festival of the Unknowns), then on 15th June 2003 (IFP Los Angeles Film Festival) and on January 2004 (Sundance Film Festival). Directed by Zackary Adler who also co-wrote with Benjamin Hurvitz, the Short film which had a total run time of 14 minutes was a great success in the United States. Consuelo co-starred with Keram Malicki-Sanchez (Jon Talents), April Grace (as Tia) Brittany Murphy (as Sky) and herself, Consuelo Costin as the Beautiful Girl. The short film was made in English and produced by the Deya Films Company.

This is the film that saw her rise to the great popularity she has today. Starring as the Beautiful Girl in this short film totally gave her rise to popularity today. This was her first appearance in the film world and she has never regretted her actions in this decision. The short film still lingers in the minds of many and more people still enjoy it today.
